5. Events
amiando offers you the possibility to invite people to parties, meetings and events (in the following called "Events"). You can invite amiando members as well as non-members to the events. Usually the following entries on the invitation site are visible to all amiando guests:
- Photos of the invitation
- Comments on the photos
- Message board entries
Each invitation has an organiser (host) who decides if and which data are visible for the particular invitation for amiando members and non-members. The amiando organiser can define whether the guest list is visible or not. If a guest list is displayed, the following entries are visible for other amiando guests of this event:
- Photo (only amiando members)
- Last name, First name
- Comment
- Status of your vote
- Number of companions
It depends on your settings in the menu under "Settings & Privacy" (cp. 3.3) whether the guests are able to see your profile or not.
Additionally, the organiser can define which functions the guests are allowed to use and defines
- whether amiando guests are allowed to invite more guests
- how many persons can accompany the amiando guests
- whether amiando guests are allowed to upload photos
Besides, the amiando organiser can define whether he/she wants to receive e-mails from the guests containing information on their acceptances and refusals. The organiser can always change these settings as well as the previous options in the menu under "Guests options".
The amiando organiser can decide whether the guest will be informed automatically if the invitation has been modified. As amiando guest you can decide in the menu under "Settings & Privacy" if you want to receive these e-mails.
The amiando organiser can edit the entries in the guest list as follows:
- Only non registered users: Last name, First name
- Number of companions that accompany the guest
- Delete the guest comment - the comment can not be changed
- Change the status (accepted, refused, maybe). When changing the status you will receive a notification e-mail
- It is NOT possible to change the e-mail address
5.1 Privacy of the event
The organiser can decide between two types of event.
1. the event is public and everyone is allowed to participate. Furthermore, events can be found on the amiando outline map or via google (optional).
2. the event is private. However, participants who know the event's web address can add themselves to the participant list. This is useful to make the event's link accessible on a webpage or via e-mail.
3. ultimate discretion. Only persons who have received a personalised invitation from the host are able to call up the event and to participate.
If the organiser chooses the event type "public" every user of the amiando web site (also non-members) can participate and therefore become a participant. As amiando guest he/she may see your profile if you have chosen this option. (cp. 3.3)
5.2 Visibility of the event
The amiando organiser can display the event on a public map "Find invitations". This means that it can be found and seen also by non-members. The event can also be found via search engines (e.g. google, yahoo etc.). Thereby non-members may see the following data of the event:
- Guest list (Photo, name, status of the vote, comment, number of companions)
- Photos
- Comments on photos
- Messages on message board
Whether a non-member is allowed to participate at an event depends on the event type (cp. 5.1).
5.3 Data transfer to amiando organiser
The amiando organiser can define which participation data will be needed for a public event. Last name, first name and e-mail address are always mandatory. amiando has no influence on the collection of the rest of the participation data. All participation data are saved in the data base and can only be seen and exported by the amiando organiser. The amiando guests can delete their participation data at any time by signing out of the event .
6. Search functions
The amiando services make it possible to search for other amiando members. You can search either for the members' name or for their e-mail addresses.Only e-mail addresses that are entered correctly will be found.
7. Cookies
After your registration (with e-mail address and password),the amiando services use cookies with which you can be identified while visiting the web site. A cookie will be saved on your computer. After ending the session the cookie will expire automatically. Furthermore, you have the possibility to stay signed in on your current computer via the function "I would like to stay signed in". For this purpose a cookie will be saved that contains parts of your registration data in encoded format.
8. Log data and event log
Whenever the web site is looked up, the access data will be saved both in a log file, the so-called server log, and in a data base, the so-called event log. The saved entity in the server log contains the following data:
- Your IP-address (with which your computer can be definitely identified),
- the remote host (name and IP address of the processor which requests the site),
- time, status, transferred data volume as well as the web site from where you were linked to the requested site (referrer), as well as
- information about product and version of the used browser (user agent).
amiando uses herefore the standardised "combined" logfile format of the Apache web server. The data in the server-log is anomymised in order to hide classifications or hints to your person. However, amiando reserves the right to check the log data later via the last known IP address of such amiando members that raise the suspicion to use the amiando web site and/or the amiando services antinomianly or contrary to contract. This is how we guarantee the protection of amiando members and the security of the data of amiando members as well as the amiando web sites and the amiando services.
The entity that is saved in the event log contains the following data:
- the type of action (e.g. invitation changed, photo uploaded etc.)
- the web address that was called up
- time of action
- if necessary your user ID (with which you can be definitely identified)
- statistic data (how long did it take to load the site)
amiando saves the event log for 48 hours to recognise possible errors, e.g. defective links or program errors and therefore to use the event log for further developments of the amiando web site. After 48 hours the event log will be anomymised by deleting the user ID. Afterwards the event log will be used for statistic analyses without any classification or hints to your person. This helps amiando to find out on which days and at what time the offers of the amiando web site are particularly popular and how much data volume is produced on the amiando web site.
9. "Under 18"
Only members of full age can become members in the amiando services. Parents or guardians are responsible to protect their children's privacy.
10.Changes of the privacy policies
amiando reserves the right to change these privacy policies at any time. This might be necessary due to subsequently recognised gaps in the regulations or due to new services provided by amiando. amiando will inform you about all changes of these privacy policies by e-mail to the e-mail address you have entered at the registration.
11.Accessibility of the privacy policies
You can access and print these privacy policies from every amiando web site via the link "Privacy".
